Starting 1 July 2024, UK passport holders will benefit from new arrangements under the Working Holiday Maker programme and Youth Mobility Scheme, following the Australia-United Kingdom Free Trade Agreement.
Eligible second and third Working Holiday (Subclass 417) visa applicants will no longer need to meet the ‘specified work’ requirement.
Additionally, UK passport holders can now apply for a Working Holiday visa between the ages of 18 and 35 years and can be granted up to three separate Working Holiday visas without having to meet any specified work requirements. This makes it easier for UK nationals to explore, work, and experience Australia!
