The last step to becoming a true Aussie
Australian Citizenship is the final step in becoming an Australian.
In order to apply, you’re predominantly required to meet the ‘’residence requirement’’.
This mainly includes:
- You have resided in Australia for four years;
- At least one year as a permanent resident; and
- You have not travelled outside of Australia for more than 12 months during this time.
It’s a detailed application, with an elongated process after lodgement. You’ll initially be invited to take a test, if you pass and Home Affairs are satisfied with your application, you’ll then receive your notification of approval of Australian Citizenship. You’ll then officially become a Citizen once you’ve attended your allocated ceremony and have been sworn in.
We provide advice regarding your eligibility, complete the extensive application on your behalf and guide you through the steps to becoming a Citizen.
