Following our recent update, the Australian Government has delayed the date fully vaccinated eligible visa holders are permitted to enter Australia from 1 December 2021, to 15 December 2021.
The update comes in response to the government’s concerns over the spread of the Omicron variant.
To confirm, as of 15 December 2021, the following travelers will be permitted to enter Australia under the following arrangements:
- All travelers must be fully vaccinated with a completed dosage of a vaccine approved or recognised by Australia’s Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA);
- Hold a valid visa for one of the eligible visa subclasses;
- Provide proof of their vaccination status; and
- Present a negative COVID-19 Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) test taken within three days of departure.
